Kano State Authorities Deport 60K Street Beggars To Their States, Countries

Kano State Hisbah Board has revealed that the board has repatriated about 60, 822 beggars to their respective states of origin and other countries between 2014 and 2015. The Public Relations Officer

(PRO) of the board, Alh. Muhammad Yusuf Yola, made this known to Daily Times on Monday during a telephone interview.


According to him, the beggars made up of male and female as well as children were arrested at different locations within the state, while some of the beggars whom have records of arrests with the board were taken to court for prosecution.
