Man Blinded By Cup Of Urine Awarded $3.6 million By Court

 A jury awarded a man who was blinded in one eye when two teens threw a cup of urine at him $3.6 million, The Associated Press reported.

The former Lake Ronkonkoma man, George Ciminello, said he was walking home in 2005 when a car drove by and a passenger hit in the face with the cup, severing a nerve in his left eye, the AP said.

A jury last month found in favor of Ciminello and ordered Brian Sullivan, of Farmingville, and Robert Harford, of Patchogue, to pay compensation and punitive damages, Newsday reported.

Sullivan’s attorney declined to comment and Harford’s attorney didn’t respond to a request for an interview, the AP said.

However, the wire service said the defendants plan to petition to have the award set aside.
