(Photos): Gunmen Attack UBA Branch In Bayelsa, Cart Away With Cash-laden Automated Teller Machines (ATMs)

The gunmen numbering about 12 attacked a UBA branch in Ammassoma, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The armed robbers, on failing to gain access into the bank, carted away with ATMs inside the premises. According to eyewitnesses, policemen from the police station opposite the bank only emerged and shot sporadic guns as the robbers were leaving.

Said an eyewitness:

"The armed men threw bombs and dynamite at the walls of the bank, bringing down its fences. They gained access to the bank premises but were unable to get in after many attempts."

"They therefore blew up the walls holding the ATM machine and carted it away with them."
