Graphic: Woman narrates her ordeal on how she nearly got mauled to death by a dog

34-year-old Megan Wright shared the story of how a St. Bernard breed of dog nearly mauled her to death in November 2015.

On how the incident happened. Megan said:

"When I turned around to see what was going on, I saw the dog and thought for a second that he was playing and was like 'Let go of my purse!'. Then I realised he wasn't playing and I just couldn't get away.

"The owner was there, at the other end of the leash, but the dog was too big and too furious, and he started attacking.

"I just remember my body being on fire and hot rather than actual pain. He got 7 to 8 bites combined on both legs - about 11 punctures - and once on my elbow when he was going for my neck, but I managed to get my elbow up in time, so I had two punctures there.

"Someone from the piercing shop across the street heard my screaming at that point and came out and I got away."
